Deatherage Racing is saddened to announce that Tony Barsh has passed away. Tony had a major role in Deatherage Racing in the early years. We traveled all over together. I lived some of the best times of my life with Tony at my side. These are memories I will cherish forever. He will be deeply missed. Please keep his family in your prayers. | |
| 2008 Season Begin's
Well the 2008 season has arrived. All the winter preperations are done and it's time to hit the track. Steve finished the 2007 season with a sixth place finish in NHRA and a runner up for the Div 2 Jeg's allstars list. Steve had his transmission and converter freshened up by JW Performance. We installed the new requirements by NHRA including the engine diaper and the new crotch strap location. Brent Fisher from Goodyear tires supplied the rubber. Hartbeat Racing supplies the power and it the same combo from last season.
Tony Banks made some changes as well. Tony was the 2007 track champion for Orlando Speedworld. He made the necessary NHRA changes and also made some changes to his chassis setup and looks to make the car more consistent in the 7.40 E.T. range. |

| Steve and Tony along side one another at the Division Two race in Gainesville Fl. While Steve has concentrated more on Supercomp Racing Tony seems to be doing best bracket racing. We both had big wins in the 2007 season. While we work on obtaining more sponsorship opportunites these possibilities could send us racing all over the country.
